Portrait Sculpture Studies

Working from different live models, this course is designed to help the students analyse the general shapes, the structure of the eyes, the ears, the nose, the mouth and the expression to realistically capture the subject's likeness. The course is designed for both beginners and advanced students who want to improve their techniques and speed when sculpting.

During ten sessions, students will sculpt six portraits, with six different models using clay. The last week of the term is the Casting week where students have the opportunity to learn the mold-making process and cast one of their sculptures.
