About Amaia.

Amaia was born in 1991 in San Sebastián, in northern Spain. She moved to Barcelona to study Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona (UB).
 
In 2020, following her experience at the Barcelona Atelier of Realist Art, Amaia joined the teaching staff at the Barcelona Academy of Art. Since then, she has combined her work as an artist with her dedication to teaching.
 
Amaia considers herself an artist rooted in the tradition of classical figurative art. She has always been particularly drawn to the human figure and the study of anatomy, and specializes in figurative drawing in graphite.
 
Alongside her teaching practice, she is currently developing her own body of work in painting.
