About Jared.

Jared Guerra Mirabal (La Vega, Dominican Republic, 1993) is a visual artist and Fine Arts professor specializing in drawing and painting. He lives and works in Barcelona. His training took place across the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Spain, including studies at the Art Students League and Grand Central Atelier in New York, as well as at Fine Arts academies in Madrid and Barcelona. Since 2023, he has been a professor at the Barcelona Academy of Art.
 
His work bridges classical figurative tradition with a contemporary sensibility shaped by his Caribbean heritage. Through drawing and painting, he explores identity, cultural memory, spirituality, and the belief systems of the Caribbean and the New World. He has participated in international exhibitions, including projects representing Dominican art in Italy during 2025–2026. His practice conceives of art as a form of connection and reflection capable of transcending its context and enduring over time.
